I was reading some of ‘kitab al-iman’ by ibn taymiyyah rahimahullah and he mentioned in there several ayaat which mentioned the characteristics of those who truly believe. Those who believe do acts of righteousness, those who believe are those who fear Allah in public and private, and it is only those who have emaan that when they remember Allah SWT, there is a tremor in their hearts. (I am not quoting the ayaat, but simply what it was saying..in essence) So basically these ayaat and ahadeeth laid out the characteristics of those who have true emaan. And anything ANYTHING that is lacking, their emaan is not complete. Because these evidences show clearly that a person’s emaan is not complete if they are not doing any of those things. One of the things is Jihad. Striving in the way of Allah SWT on any level. If no one has a sincere intention to atleast do it in their life, their emaan is flawed.

And in the reading, I realized if only all of us cleared our intentions and intended upon fulfilling the obligations (only then would we have emaan) and then perfecting them…as to increase our emaan and closeness to Allah SWT..nothing would be better. Nothing would be more fulfilling.
may Allah SWT place emaan in our hearts. ameen

“And whoever fears Allah – He will make for him a way out. And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah – then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a [decreed] extent.” [at-Talaq 65:3-4]

Aaslamu Aalikium Wa Rahamatuh Allahi Wa Barakatuh,

Subhana’Allah, another great reminder. Baraak Allahu feeky ukhtee. Its always a form of puzzle for the non-believers Subhana’allah..when the concept of fearing Allah is mentioned. But, if they truely look at the underlying wisdom beneath that, it truely makes the worshipper love the Creator, the Sustainer, because the Creator is nothing like his creation. This post truely goes hand in hand with the love of Allah swt post, because it is through fear, our hearts are humbled towards Allah, and through humbleness and piety one truely gains the feeling of yearning towards love of Allah swt.

Jazakee Allahu Khairn ukhtee, May Allah swt make us of those who fear him in private, and in public. Ameen
